Personal Case Analysis
About Me · OGL Core Competencies · Personal Case Analysis
Purpose of the analysis
The personal case analysis examines one actual organizational situation through several leadership perspectives. Each frame highlights different features of the same situation rather than requiring an unrelated story for every page. The structural frame looks at the organization of work, the human resources frame at people, the political frame at influence, and the symbolic frame at meaning. The ethical section examines the values and responsibilities involved in the choices. The final analysis should connect these perspectives to evidence, alternatives, and personal reflection.
Choose Organization Situation Worksheet
The completed organization-and-situation worksheet and a four-to-five-sentence introduction to my chosen case still need to be attached here. Golfland Sunsplash is currently my Project Management competency artifact; that does not establish it as the organization selected for the separate personal case analysis. The case introduction and all five worksheets need to use the same confirmed situation and my actual role in it.
Explore the five frames
- Structural Frame — roles, coordination, and organization of work
- Human Resources Frame — people, needs, skills, and support
- Political Frame — power, interests, and negotiation
- Symbolic Frame — culture, stories, and shared meaning
- Ethical Frame — values, obligations, and defensible choices
The frame pages contain conceptual overviews and source references. Their completed personal worksheets and reflections remain to be incorporated, including revisions based on course feedback.
