Connecting education, creative work, and business

My professional direction connects completing my ASU degree, managing real projects, and building a company. My experience in photography and media production gives me a practical setting in which to apply leadership and project management. I want this portfolio to make those connections visible through my own work and reasoning.

Working SMART goals

These goals translate that direction into specific outcomes and milestones for review.

  • Complete my degree: Complete the remaining requirements for my B.A. in Organizational Leadership – Project Management at Arizona State University, working toward the May 2027 completion date listed on my résumé. Progress will be measured by completed course requirements and the university’s degree audit.
  • Make project expectations explicit: For my next paid media engagement, document the scope, deliverables, schedule, and revision expectations before production begins. The measure is a complete project brief covering those four elements, building on the scope-of-work and checklist approach I used for Golfland Sunsplash.
  • Build a business with clear delivery standards: For the next company project I take from planning into delivery, define the intended result, responsibilities, milestones, and acceptance criteria before execution. Before calling the project complete, compare the delivered work with those criteria and record any remaining gaps.
  • Complete an evidence-based leadership portfolio: Before submitting the final OGL 481 electronic portfolio, complete all five competency sections with the required reflections and personally created artifacts, and include the required case-analysis worksheets and reflections. Check each section against the final guidelines and test its artifact and navigation links.
